The images of a key coup suspect, Adil Öksüz, in the Akıncı Air Base, which was used as a command center during the 2016 defeated coup attempt in the country by the FETÖ, were revealed for the first time, the state-run Anadolu Agency reported on July 21.

They are all actually well aware that they are in an abnormal situation. For example, the co-pilot of the tanker aircraft "ASENA 3," Lieutenant Fatih Akbulut, said in his testimony, "The base commander said, 'You will go north in the direction of Ankara, you will supply fuel to the aircraft that asks for fuel from you.

Ten months have passed since the bloody coup attempt of July 15, 2016 and we are finally talking about a judicial process. Thirty civilians were among the directors of the failed July 2016 coup at the Akıncı Air Base, which was used as the headquarters of the coup plotters, according to an indictment prepared regarding the coup activities at the base. 

The Turkish Parliament's coup investigation commission members from the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) have said they have applied to the Justice Ministry to visit and hear testimony from a group of high-ranking soldiers suspected of playing key roles in the July 15 coup attempt and now in jail pending trial.

On the one hand, more details are emerging in the ongoing investigation about the bloody military coup attempt of July 15 that are increasing the reaction among Turkish people.

Ankara has warned officials in the United States that they should detain Pennsylvania-based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen before he escapes to another country, in a temporary detention request sent by the Turkish Justice Ministry to Washington on Sept. 13.
