Ten soldiers were injured early on July 13 in a fire that broke out in a military area in the southern province of Kilis, the Kilis Governor's Office has said in a statement.        

It said there were no causalities in the fire and the injured soldiers, who suffered from mild smoke inhalation, have already been discharged from Kilis State Hospital.        

The main target of rockets fired the by Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) on April 24 was the Kilis Governor's Office building and Deputy Prime Minister Yalç?n Akdo?an, who was visiting the southeastern border province at the time, according to Kilis Mayor Hasan Kara, who called on the town's residents who have left over mounting security concerns to return. 

Three people were wounded on April 19 when rocket projectiles fired from Syria landed in the southeastern province of Kilis, less than a day after similar incident which claimed the lives of five.

Two people have been killed, including a toddler, while two others have been wounded as eight Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) rocket projectiles hit the southeastern border province of Kilis. The military fired back at ISIL targets within the rules of engagement. 

Unlike many Turkish provinces that have received Syrian refugees in large numbers, one hardly sees child beggars on the streets of Kilis in Turkey's south, as the governorate exerted effort to school minors.

A sense of brotherhood resembling the early Muslims has developed between Syrians living in the southeastern province of Kilis and local Turkish residents as the number of Syrians has come to exceed the population of Turks in the town.

An explosion in a school’s grounds in Kilis, Turkey, has reportedly killed two people.

According to Turkish media, it is believed a mortar shell hit the area which is located near the Syrian border.

The bomb is believed to have struck the Eyup Gokce secondary school at 9:30am local time, RT reports.

One person was killed and a student was injured as a rocket projectile originating from Syria hit a schoolyard in the southeastern Turkish province of Kilis, the office of the governor announced in a written statement.
 
The blast reportedly took place at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 18 near the Nazl? Ömer Çetin primary school in the center of Kilis, where four schools are located.
