BP, Equinor exiting stakes in Rosneft
British energy giant BP announced on Feb. 27 that it was pulling its 19.75-percent stake in Rosneft following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
London-based BP has held a 19.75 percent stake in Rosneft since 2013. That stake was valued at $14 billion at the time of the announcement.

Royal Dutch Shell to buy BG Group for $70 billion
Royal Dutch Shell on April 8 announced a mega takeover of British rival BG Group worth 47 billion, as the pair consolidate in a sector battered by sliding oil prices.
The deal, approved by the BG board, is worth the equivalent of $70 billion or 64 billion euros.
