The Nebra Sky Disk is one of the most important archaeological finds of the 20th Century

The Nebra sky disk is made from bronze; it weighs about five pounds and is approximately 12 inches in diameter, with a bluish-green coating and ornaments of gold symbols. The symbols have been tentatively interpreted as a lunar crescent, a sun or full moon, and stars. One theory is that it could also represent a cluster of stars we now know as the constellation Pleiades.
