MELBOURNE - Serbia's top-ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic has made a successful start to his quest for a tenth career Australian Open title by defeating Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena 6-3, 6-4, 6-0 in the first round of the tournament on Tuesday.

Returning to Melbourne after a two-year break, Djokovic was greeted by standing ovations from fans at the Rod Laver Arena.

This means that the two can only meet in the final, it was decided by draw.

After Hugo Dellien in the first round, Djokovic defeated German tennis player Jan-Lennard Struff in the second round - 6: 4, 6: 3.
The match of the second round at the tennis tournament in Tokyo lasted an hour and 15 minutes.

Sixth-seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece is into the third round at Roland Garros for the first time in his career after beating Bolivian Hugo Dellien 4-6, 6-0, 6-3, 7-5.
