Polakis’ reaction to sketch not representative of SYRIZA, party says
Main opposition SYRIZA has said the harsh reaction of one of its MPs to a sketch lampooning him in Kathimerini "in no way expresses SYRIZA."
In a Facebook post, SYRIZA MP Pavlos Polakis took offense with a sketch by cartoonist Ilias Makris published on Saturday that depicted him as a dog.
Cartoonists take issue with censorship
The Greek cartoonists' union said Thursday that the decision not to include 12 out of 28 Greek sketches in a European Parliament exhibition to mark its 60th anniversary on the grounds they were Nazi-friendly or an infringement of EU values, has raised serious questions.

MEP files complaint over censorship of Greek cartoonists
SYRIZA MEP Stelios Kouloglou has filed a complaint with European Parliament President Antonio Tajani claiming that several sketches by Greek cartoonists will not be allowed to go on display in an exhibition that is being organized by the Greek politician and French MEP Patrick Le Hyaric, celebrating 60 years of the European Union.

'Drawing Europe:' 28 leading cartoonists comment
In a project titled "Drawing Europe" and spearheaded by Danish newspaper Politiken, 28 cartoonists from the European Union's 28 member-states - including Kathimerini's Ilias Makris - have been invited to comment on how they view the EU today, particularly in light of Britain's decision to leave the bloc and ahead of an informal summit in Bratislava on Friday.
