The Greek National Opera is set to launch the 2018-19 season with "Jenufa," a grim drama by Czech composer Leos Janacek about a woman who kills her stepdaughter's newborn baby in order to protect her reputation.

The City of Athens Symphony Orchestra and Choir perform Gioachino Rossini's "Stabat Mater" at the Pallas Theater in Athens on Sunday, April 24. The concert is organized by the City of Athens Cultural, Sports and Youth Organization. The ensembles are led by Eleftherios Kalkanis.
