The Strong Greek Color at This Year’s Bal des Débutantes in Paris

This year’s Bal des Débutantes in Paris had a distinct Greek touch. Among the glamorous attendees were Sophia Yadikiaroglou, Cornelia Manou, and Marilia Vamvakidi, three young women from prominent Greek families who made their official debut at the international jet-set salons.

After "Korper," from her trilogy about the human body, acclaimed German choreographer Sasha Waltz returns with an exciting new choreography, "Kreatur," which premiered at Radialsystem V in Berlin last summer. Here, she has teamed up with two iconoclastic artists, fashion designer Iris van Herpen and lighting designer Urs Schoenbaum. The shows at the Athens Concert Hall start at 8 p.m.

The world of design will come together in Istanbul between Oct. 19 and 23 at the first ever Turkey Design Week. Organized with the cooperation of the Economy Ministry and the Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TİM), the event will bring together designers, manufacturers, traders and exporters at the Lütfi Kırdar Convention and Exhibition Center.
