Türkiye began unblocking Instagram Saturday evening after depriving access to millions of users for nine days.

"Following our negotiations with representatives of Instagram, we will unblock access starting from 9:30 p.m. (18:30 GMT) after they agreed to respond to our demands," transport and infrastructure minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu said on X.

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has warned his American counterpart over Israel's military offensive on Rafah in the southern Gaza where more than 1 million civilians are stranded amid insufficient humanitarian aid.

In line with the intensified efforts for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held talks with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan during a visit to Türkiye on April 20.
