A rare and valuable ring has been found during the National History Museum's (NIM) regular archaeological excavations at the Kokalyanski Urvich Fortress' citadel.

Archaeology in Bulgaria reports that the remains of a baby or very young child have been found in a clay pot among 50 other burials under the floor of a large fourteenth-century church in north-central Bulgaria’s Trapesitsa Fortress.

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov invited Pope Francis to visit our country. In turn, the head of the Roman Catholic Church promised by 2019 to visit Bulgaria, Romania and other Balkan countries.
