Bulgarian Footballer Ivelin Popov Signed a Deal with a Russian Club
Bulgarian national team captain Ivelin Popov has officially got a new club team. The player signed for two and a half years with Russian Rostov. As is well known, he broke up its deal with the Russian Grand Spartak (Moscow) by mutual agreement earlier this month. Popov, who had a contract with the Moscow team until May 31, agreed with the club to take four salaries.
PAOK fight back to beat Spartak, Salzburg cruise
Greece's PAOK Salonika came back from two goals down to beat Spartak Moscow 3-2 in their Champions League third qualifying round, first leg match on Wednesday.
Goals from Ivelin Popov and Dutch winger Quincy Promes put visitors Spartak 2-0 up inside 17 minutes but the Greek side responded quickly.

The captain of the national football team, Ivelin Popov, was voted No. 1 in Bulgarian football in 2017. The striker of the Russian Spartak (Moscow) won the 57th edition of the "Football of the Year" poll, gathering 228 points in the 104- sports journalists from 48 media outlets.
