Turkish top diplomat urges peace talks in Ukraine conflict, warns of WMD risks

Türkiye's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Wednesday warned the risk of the Russia-Ukraine war spreading is greater than ever, and that the use of nuclear arms and weapons of mass destruction in the conflict cannot be ruled out.

He made the remarks at the Ukraine-Southeast Europe summit in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

Albanian PM Edi Rama and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are expected to discuss the war in Ukraine and its consequences.

There is still no agreement on the text of a declaration to be adopted at the end of the summit, Tanjug learns.
