US, Russia to discuss Syria's future with UN
The United States, Russia and the United Nations will hold three-way talks on the Syria crisis in Geneva on Dec. 11, U.N. Syria envoy Staffan de Mistura stated on Dec. 9.
De Mistura told Reuters that the Dec. 11 Geneva talks that he initiated were part of "preparatory work," but he declined to go into detail.

Kerry says to go to Moscow next week for Syria, Ukraine talks
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Dec. 9 that he would travel to Moscow next week for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Ukraine and a political settlement in Syria.
