Malmo chosen to host 2024 Eurovision
The southern Swedish city of Malmo has been chosen to host the 2024 Eurovision Song contest on May 7-11, Swedish public broadcaster STV has said.
"Malmo is a creative city with a rich cultural life that can provide a music festival for the whole of Europe," said STV director general Hanne Stjarne.
Eurovision has a huge following in Sweden.

Sweden won this year's Eurovision
The representative of Sweden - Loreen won the Eurovision Song Contest, which was held in the British city of Liverpool, the Eurovision website announced.

Loreen makes history as Sweden claims seventh Eurovision victory
Sweden won the Eurovision Song Contest early Sunday, as singer Loreen beat out 25 competitors in the finale of the world's biggest live music event, hosted by Britain on behalf of war-torn Ukraine.
A previous victor in 2012, Loreen is the first woman to win the eccentric, much-loved competition twice and only the second person to do so after Johnny Logan for Ireland in the 1980s.

Selecting Romania's 2021 Eurovision song is starting today, with singer Roxen expected to record several songs in the days ahead. Demo versions of the acts will be sent to a jury that chooses the winning song, according to a press statement released by the TVR national public television corporation.
