Central bank chief promises "stable rate" in 2016
Fluctuations of the dinar-to-euro exchange rate are expected for this time of year, says NBS Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic.
The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) will do everything to maintain maximum stability of the exchange rate in 2016, she added.

Serbian currency lost 0.7 pct against euro in December
The Serbian dinar (RSD) dropped by 0.7 percent against the euro (EUR) in December, and by 0.9 percent since the beginning of the year.
The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) sold EUR 440 million on the interbank foreign exchange market to defend the national currency, NBS Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic has told state broadcaster RTS.
"Lower reference interest rate for cheaper loans"
NBS Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic has said that she expects interest rates on bank loans to be reduced.
According to her, this should happen "given that the central has recently cut the reference interest rate to five percent."

Clients of Greek banks in Serbia "completely secure"
Clients who have accounts in the four Greek banks operating in Serbia are "completely secure," the central bank (NBS) governor, Jorgovanka Tabakovic, has said.
According to her, this is true "since they are doing business in a regular way, are liquid and are paying all savers' deposits."
