In the Balkans, where Facebook is the most-used social network, this tech giant, along with Google, have become a kind of landlord, renting out space to journalists.

Kathimerini’s website (www.kathimerini.gr) received another award on Wednesday.

The site’s editor, Galateia Vourvouli, was given an award by the Botsis Institution for the Promotion of Journalism for her work in promoting multimedia reports through the revamped website.
