Outbreak of Meningitis in a Kindergarten in Sofia, One Child Died
An outbreak of meningitis has been discovered in Sofia's 37th "Valshebstvo" Kindergarten in the Pavlovo district. As of yesterday, the children's institution has suspended classes, BNT reported. So far, 16 children and two adults have been infected. A 5-year-old child died.
State Chief Health Inspector Recommends Nationwide Anti-Covid Measures
I recommend the stringent anti-Covid measures to be applied nationwide. That's what The State Chief Health Inspector, Assoc. Prof. Angel Kunchev told bTV. The number of infected continues to grow. The cities that are in the red zone are: Pazardzhik, Haskovo and Silistra. Between 1,500 to 2,000 caseswill be registered there daily, Kunchev predicts.
2427 Cases of COVID-19 on May 24 in Bulgaria
The National Operational Headquarters presented the latest data on the scale of the COVID-19 epidemic in Bulgaria on May 24.
Prof. Todor Kantardjiev announced that there were 19 new cases, 11 of which were admitted to hospital.
886 samples were tested and the proven positive samples in Bulgaria are 2427.
