Serbia to Hike Budget for Army and Police
Serbia's budget proposal for 2019 envisages a big increase in spending of about 40 per cent for the army and 13.5 per cent for the police.
In 2019, the government plans to allocate the Interior Ministry about 720 million euros, while the Defence Ministry will get about 792 million euros.

Serbia Wastes Cash Earmarked for Jet Upgrade
A new report by the think tank Belgrade Centre for Security Policy, BCSP, shows that Serbia's Defence Ministry spent 7.4 million euros from 2013 - earmarked for the modernization of the ancient Super Galeb G-4 fighter jet fleet - on other purposes, because the project has still not got a go-ahead from the government.

BIRN Summer School Kicks off in Montenegro
Some 35 reporters from the Balkans and across the world have gathered on Monday for the five-day summer school, aiming to boost their skills.
The school was kicked off by lead teacher and Guardian journalist Paul Lewis, who will teach students how to think about data in the digital age and use social media to investigate.
