Greek Tax Office to probe overseas accounts and block assets
Top tax official Katerina Savvaidou from the General Secretariat of Public Revenue held a meeting on Tuesday where it was decided to probe the finances of 1,500 affluent people on the list of transfers to overseas accounts. The meeting discussed the General Secretariat of Public Revenue's plans to take action against those who have undeclared money abroad.
Landlords to pay tax on unpaid rent

Greek landlords will still have to pay income tax for the rents that their tenants have failed to pay, at a rate ranging from 11 to 33 percent, according to a circular issued on Friday by the general secretary for public revenues, Katerina Savvaidou.

Taxisnet submission extension until after March 31
Taxisnet, the electronic platform of the Greek finance ministry, will continue to accept annual employee income certificate data by companies, social insurance funds and state organizations after the March 31 deadline.

17 rich indidivuals to have assets seized
17 individuals’ assets will be seized after an order issued by the Financial prosecutor, based on data from the Center of Great Wealth Taxation, arising from finance checks performed on people with large deposits.
The checks concern a total of 49 people and are based on banking finance moves they have performed between 2000-2012.
