Bosnia's Radoncic Accused at Kelmendi Drug Trial

Witness Sejla Turkovic testified at the court in Pristina on Monday that Radoncic told her that he had the right of approval over Kelmendi's actions.

Radoncic features prominently in the 49-page indictment against Kelmendi, who is charged with being the head of a major trafficking ring ferrying drugs from Afghanistan to western Europe, with the Bosnian capital Sarajevo as the hub.

PRIŠTINA -- A panel of judges at the Basic Court in Priština has begun the trial of Naser Kelmendi, charged by the Kosovo Special Prosecution Office.

Kelmendi stands accused of committing crimes related to international drug trafficking and the murder of Ramiz Delilalić, a Bosnia-Herzegovina citizen.

Suspected Drugs Baron's Detention Extended in Kosovo

EULEX said detention on remand has been extended until July 7 for Kelmendi, who was arrested on May 5, 2013 by Kosovo police acting on an international arrest warrant. Fuad Nikqi, suspected of assisting Kelmendi, was also arrested.

A EULEX prosecutor then opened an investigation into the case based on the same offences that Kelmendi has been accused of in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
