Artvin's canyon to welcome tourists
The "Cehennem Deresi" (Hell's Creek) Canyon in the Ardanuç district of Turkey's northeastern province of Artvin, which is said to be the world's second highest canyon after the Grand Canyon in the U.S., is to be promoted to woo more tourists, according to the Artvin governor.

Floods, landslides kill 3 in northeast Turkey
At least three people have died in heavy rains and landslides that hit Turkey's northeastern province of Artvin on Nov. 12.
A 74-year-old man lost his life when a landslide engulfed him in front of his house in the Black Sea district of Borçka. The man was taken to a local hospital but died later from his injuries, according to Artvin Gov. Kemal Cirit.

A controversial prosecutor who led probes into alleged coup attempts has fled to Armenia with a colleague after an arrest warrant was issued regarding both judicial figures, the governor of Artvin province has announced.
Turkey's ?av?at becomes a 'slow city'
The northeastern province of Artvin?s ?av?at district has been declared a ?slow city? by the Cittaslow 2015 general committee.
At a press conference, Artvin Governor Kemal Cirit said that the committee made the decision between June 21-23 in Milan. He added that the title was very important for the future of the district.
