Resignations will not impact CHP: Spokesperson
The resignations of three lawmakers from the Republican People's Party (CHP) will not impact the opposition party, party spokesperson Faik Öztrak said Feb. 1.

Erdoğan urges AKP grassroots to reinstate splinters
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Feb. 1 called on the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) grassroots to make efforts for reinstating the estranged party members.
"Let us recruit our friends who have been separated from our party due to any reason," Erdoğan said, virtually addressing the provincial meetings of the AKP in Adana, Antalya, Muğla and Bursa.
Former Turkish minister dead at 104
Former Turkish Energy and Natural Sources Minister Ömer Cahit Kayra died late on Jan. 30. He was 104.
"I am deeply saddened with the passing of one of our former ministers, an important bureaucrat, politician and statesman Ömer Cahit Kayra," chairperson of the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said on social media.
