It was a night to remember for Turkish footballers plying their trade abroad, as Kerem Aktürkoğlu scored a hat-trick for Benfica in Portugal and Kenan Yıldız came off the bench to inspire a stunning comeback for Juventus in Italy.
‘La Bohème’ on Istanbul stage
The Istanbul State Opera and Ballet (IDOB) brings the stage Italian composer Giacomo Puccini's romantic and dramatic Opera, "La Bohème."
The opera will be on stage at the Atatürk Cultural Center - Türk Telekom Opera Hall on Dec. 14 and Jan. 4, 25 and 31, 2024.

Golden Butterfly Awards honor the best of Türkiye

Negligence behind crane accident, workers say
The Dec. 30 accident that caused the death of six people when the crane that was intended to be raised in the construction of a hotel in the Aegean province of İzmir fell towards the building for an unknown reason happened because the necessary safety precautions were not taken, workers on the construction site have claimed.

Famous music producer Hasan Saltık laid to rest
The funeral of producer and founder of Kalan Music, Hasan Saltık, who died of a heart attack at the age of 57 on June 2 in the Bodrum district of Muğla, was laid to rest on June 4 in Istanbul's Küçükyalı Cemetery.

20 competed in Turkey’s first women motor speedway championship
In Turkey's first motor speedway championship for women organized between May 29 and 30 in the western province of İzmir, 20 female motorcycle racers competed on the tracks.
The country's first professional female motorcycle racer, İlayda Yağmur Yılmaz, bagged the winning trophy in the race where many participants were competing for the first time in their lives.
İzmir to host all-women motorcycle race
The western province of İzmir is preparing to host an all-female motorcycle race this week.
The event, which is jointly organized by the Turkish Motorcycle Federation (TMF) and Yamaha Motors Turkey, will take place at the Ülkü Racing Circuit between May 29 and May 30.
