Parliament approves decree on state of emergency

Parliament has adopted on Thursday President Klaus Iohannis' decree on the establishment of the state of emergency on Romania's territory for a 30-day period. Chamber of Deputies Speaker Marcel Ciolacu announced that the decision to approve the measure adopted by Romania's President on the establishment of the state of emergency on the entire territory of Romania was unanimously approved.

Romania is Considering Excluding Huawei From its 5G Network

Romania could exclude Chinese giant Huawei from its future 5G network, according to a joint statement by the presidents of the United States and Romania.

The document, signed by Klaus Werner Iohannis  and Donald Trump, says the two sides will seek to avoid the security risks associated with Chinese investment in building a 5G telecommunications network.

The Social Democratic Party (PSD), major at rule, claims that President of Romania Klaus Iohannis has allowed himself to "encourage anarchic, anti-PSD and anti-governmental street protests," urging him "to show responsibility, behave and act as president of the Romanians, to contribute to the consolidation of democratic rights and liberties, of a genuine rule of law."

Serbian president visiting Romania

Vucic will be welcomed with a ceremony and meet with Romanian counterpart Klaus Werner Iohannis.

He will also lead Serbia's delegation in a plenary meeting between the delegations of the two countries.

During his one-day visit, Vucic will have separate meetings with presidents of both houses of Romania's parliament, and with the country's prime minister.
