In a significant move, the Bulgarian parliament has unanimously voted to remove Covid-19 from the list of particularly dangerous infections, signaling a shift in the country's approach to pandemic-related restrictions.

Bulgaria's euro-skeptic party, "Vazrazhdane," has voiced discontent as the Constitutional Court delays ruling on the party's appeal against the National Assembly's decision to reject a proposed referendum against the euro.

Vanya Grigorova, who lost the runoff in the local elections in Sofia, blamed the results on the leaders of GERB Boyko Borissov and "Vazrazhdane" Kostadin Kostadinov. According to her, it was they who helped the candidate of "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" ("Spasi Sofia") Vasil Terziev to win the second round of the vote.

At the beginning of the plenary session, the "Vazrazhdane" party called on the Minister of Defense Todor Tagarev to resign.

The leader of the party, Kostadin Kostadinov, stated that with his actions, the Minister of Defense is not working for the country.

The leader of the pro-Russian party "Vazrazhdane" (Revival), Kostadin Kostadinov, was sued by the journalist Vasil Ivanov for defamation. This became clear from a decision of the Sofia City Court, quoted by Bulgarian media "Sega".

The subject of a possible change of the Bulgarian national holiday from March 3 to May 24 became an occasion for comments on the sidelines and declarations in the plenary hall.

With 144 votes "in favor", 52 "against", the parliament finally revoked the concession of Rosenets port from the Russian company Lukoil by adopting the second reading of changes to the Control Law on the implementation of restrictive measures in view of Russia's actions destabilizing the situation in Ukraine.

The pro-Russian political party "Vazrazhdane" has received help from "There Is Such a People" and the independent MP Radostin Vassilev to appeal to the Constitutional Court about the decision of the National Assembly to reject the proposal to call a referendum against the euro. This was announced by party leader Kostadin Kostadinov at a briefing on the sidelines of the parliament.

With 157 votes "in favor" and 57 against, the parliament adopted a Declaration in support of Ukraine's membership in NATO. "Vazrazhdane" and BSP again declared themselves "against" this decision.
