A British submarine was found whose traces disappeared in October 1943 while on a secret mission and offensive patrol in the Aegean Sea.
WWI shipwreck Arcadian found off Sifnos
The British ocean liner Arcadian, torpedoed by a German U-boat and sunk during World War I, has been discovered by researcher Kostas Thoktaridis and his team. The wreck was found southeast of the Cycladic island of Sifnos at a depth of 163 meters. The Arcadian, which went down taking 279 men with it, was en route from Thessaloniki to Alexandria, Egypt, with 1,155 military personnel on board.

Sunken cargo vessel found after almost 50 years
A cargo ship that sank in 1976 with the loss of nine lives after colliding with another vessel as it exited the Corinth Canal has been found in the Megara Gulf.
The "Mini Lord" was found at a depth of 222 meters, some 7.67 nautical miles east of the Corinth Canal.

An expert wreck researcher has located the remains of a ferry boat that went down off the southeastern coast of Evia on the afternoon of February 23, 1983, killing 28 passengers and crew, the Athens-Macedonian News Agency reported on Wednesday.
