Erdoğan meets with Mehmet Şimşek
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has met with former Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek, according to a columnist in daily Hürriyet.
The meeting between the president and Şimşek took place on May 29 and it was "positive," said Abdülkadir Selvi, without providing other details.

$5.5 billion eroded in one week in Turkey
Last week, when the U.S. dollar rose to a record high, the Turkish Central Bank's foreign currency and gold reserves eroded exactly $5.5 billion. They fell back to $117.5 billion, which is the highest drop since 2009 in the foreign exchange reserves, which are released on a weekly basis.

Saudi king welcomed in Turkish capital
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an has welcomed Saudi King Salman in the presidential palace with a state ceremony during the king's official three-day visit to the country.
King Salman arrived at the presidential palace accompanied by mounted troops. The king later saluted the escort of honor.
