Several wildfires break out in central and northern Greece, village evacuated
Several fires have broken out on Friday in central and northern Greece, with residents of some towns and villages receiving a message from 112 to evacuate or stay alert.
Currently, the fire department fights wildfires in Pella and Kilkis, in northern Greece and in Agrinio, Larissa, and Livadia, in central Greece.

Supreme Court prosecutor denies cover-up allegations in Tempe crash
Supreme Court Prosecutor Georgia Adelini on Wednesday rejected accusations that there is an ongoing effort to cover up presumptive misdealings by guilty parties in the official investigation into the deadly train crash at Tempe last year.
"There is absolutely no judicial cover-up in the case of the Tempe accident," Adelini said at the 9th Economic Forum of Delphi.
Larissa battles forest blaze amid nationwide firefighting effort
A forest fire broke out in the Elafos area of Larissa, central Greece, with 70 fires reported nationwide in the past 24 hours, according to the fire brigade.
In Larissa, 42 firefighters, supported by two foot patrol teams, 14 vehicles, and aircraft, are battling the blaze.
Of the nationwide fires, 57 were swiftly contained, while 13 remain active.
Proliferation of e-store fraud
A few days ago the Ministry of Development proceeded to impose a fine of 120,000 euros on an online store based in Larissa and at the same time suspended the operation of the store in question, as this possibility is now provided for by consumer protection legislation.
