#Romania2019.eu/PM Dancila: Romania approached EU Presidency term as mission in service of European citizens
More than anything else, Romania has approached its term at the Presidency of the Council of the EU as a mission in the service of the European citizens, Premier Viorica Dancila said on Friday evening in her address in the opening of the gala concert of the Romanian Youth Orchestra organised at the Romanian Athenaeum to mark the end of Romania's tenure of the EU Presidency.
Egypt's President welcomed at Cotroceni Palace with military honors
President Klaus Iohannis welcomed on Wednesday at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who is on an official visit to Romania. Egypt's head of state was welcomed with a military ceremony.

President of Slovenia Borut Pahor was welcomed on Tuesday morning by his Romanian counterpart Klaus Iohannis with military honours at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace.
The Slovenian high official is on an official visit to Romania, at the invitation of the Romanian president.
"Mr President, we welcome you with a little snow," President Iohannis told his Slovenian counterpart.
PM Dancila calls first meeting of euro switchover board important moment regarding country project
Prime Minister Viorica Dancila called the first meeting of the national board in charge with Romania's switchover to the single European currency, the euro, that took place on Thursday "an important moment that regards a country project" around which "all the country's forces" should unite.
Romanians Argue Over Taking in Migrants
The first immigrants that Romania has agreed to take in at the EU's request will arrive in November, presidential adviser Leonard Orban, has said, although the government promptly declined to confirm this.
