Researchers discover new dolphin species in Türkiye
A team of researchers from a marine association has spotted a new dolphin species in Turkish waters.
The species, known as the rough-toothed dolphin (Steno bredanensis), was captured on video during the Marine Mammal Research Association (DMAD) team's annual research expedition, which monitors cetaceans across the Black Sea, Marmara, Aegean and Mediterranean regions.

Singing operatic arias accompanied by the wailing of a Giant Schnauzer puppy is not easy, but Lilli Wuenscher has had to get used to it.
"When I sing high notes he starts to howl and cry," said the Leipzig Opera soloist about her puppy Ludwig -- named after Ludwig van Beethoven.

Syrian woman crossing into Turkey illegally killed by security forces
A Syrian woman was killed by security forces while she was trying to cross into Turkey illegally through a mined area on the border.
The woman, identified as Nezahat Celal, reportedly was shot at around 7 p.m. on Jan. 29 near the border town of Cizre in the province of ??rnak.
