Famed Brewery's Bankruptcy Causes Anger in Serbia
Around 400 shareholders of the recently bankrupted Belgrade Beer Industry, BIP, protested on Thursday in front of the government, demanding the dismissal of Economy Minister Zeljko Sertic.
They accused Sertic for being responsible for the bankruptcy of the long established firm founded in 1963, as there were investors interested in buying it.

Serbia Ready to Shut Down State Media as Privatisation Deadline Nears
The Serbian government expressed readiness to shut down state media in case they do not comply with the approaching privatisation deadline.
Serbian Minister of Culture and Information Ivan Tasovac announced on Thursday that state-owned media must submit the necessary documentation for their sale immediately and their privatisation should be completed in four months.

Media outlets that fail to submit the requisite documents by June 19 risk being shut down.

Protection from creditor claims to cease for 77 firms in May
BELGRADE - Protection from creditor claims will in May cease for 77 out of 144 companies under restructuring, Privatisation Agency Director Ljubomir Subara announced on Monday.
However, he could not confirm whether the companies will be exempt from creditor claims in case tenders to privatise them are launched in the meantime.
