Prosecution appeals in highly publicized hit-and-run case
The Third Basic Prosecution has appealed the verdict passed in October that sentenced Marko Milic to 4.5 years in prison.
The 35-year-old was found guilty of killing Luka Jovanovic while driving a Mini Countryman vehicle, fleeing the scene, and later the country. The accident happened on Belgrade's Brankov Bridge in July 2014.

BELGRADE -- Marko Milićev, a suspected hit-and-run driver accused of causing an accident in Belgrade in which a 21-year-old man died, has been deported from China.
He is expected to appear before a judge today and plead on the charges raised against him.

Chinese Arrest Belgrade Hit-and-Run Suspect
Marko Milicev, 33, from Belgrade, has been arrested in China after fleeing the country following a killing of 21-year-old Luka Jovanovic, who was hit by a car on July 25 on Branko's Bridge in Belgrade.
Nebojsa Stefanovic, the interior minister, said Milicev was arrested on a warrant that Serbia issued after his Chinese visa expired.

BELGRADE -- Serbia will seek the extradition from China of Marko Milićev, suspected of causing a traffic accident in Belgrade that killed a 21-year-old man.

After almost a month of investigation, Serbian police have named a suspect in the killing of 21-year-old Luka Jovanovic, who was hit by a car on July 25 on Branko’s Bridge in Belgrade.
According to the police, surveillance camera footage showed that suspect Marko Milicev hit Jovanovic with his black Mini Countryman and then drove off.

BELGRADE -- The driver who last month hit a 25-year-old man with his car and killed him, and then fled the scene, "most likely drove a foreign license plates vehicle."
This was announced on Monday by Interior Minister Nebojša Stefanović.
