'Beli' Finds Way to Run in Serbian Capital Elections
Spoof politician Luka Maksimovic will be able to compete in the Belgrade local elections on March 4 after all - after his group got round a legal problem by deciding that one of its members will change his name to Maksimovic's previous alias, "Ljubisa Preletacevic 'Beli'".
Beli expects first-round victory
MLADENOVAC - Presidential candidate Luka Maksimovic, also known under the alias of Ljubisa Preletacevic Beli, expects a first-round victory in Sunday's presidential elections in Serbia.
After casting his vote in the Belgrade municipality of Mladenovac, he told reporters he wished luck to all candidates, but that the best one would win, adding: "And I am the best."

Ipsos: Vucic has won 55 pct of votes
BELGRADE - According to figures released by the Ipsos agency based on 82.8 pct of the vote sample tallied, Aleksandar Vucic has won 55 pct of the votes in Sunday's presidential elections in Serbia.
Sasa Jankovic has won 16.3 pct, followed by Luka Maksimovic (9.3 pct) and Vuk Jeremic (5.7 pct), Ipsos said.

'Beli' Defeats Serbian Rivals in Online Election Campaign
If the battle to become Serbia's next president was decided in terms of online activity, spoof character Ljubisa Preletacevic "Beli", played by Luka Maksimovic, would win hands down.
That is the verdict of research carried out by a Belgrade-based NGO, Share Foundation, which shows thatBeli notched up almost 600,000 interactions on his posts on his official Facebook page.

SNS leader Aleksandar Vucic currently has 53 percent support and a big chance of winning in the first round of the April 2 election, according to a new Ipsos Strategic Marketing poll.
Luka Maksimovic, aka Ljubisa Beli Preletacevic, is now second with a rating of about 11 percent.

Ljubisa Preletacevic Beli approved as presidential candidate
BELGRADE - The national election commission approved late Monday the candidacy of Luka Maksimovic, known under the alias of Ljubisa Preletacevic Beli, for the April 2 presidential elections in Serbia.
Maksimovic was approved as the candidate of a citizens' group named Ljubisa Preletacevic Beli - Just Keep Going Strong, Beli.
