Taste Atlas, an online guide for traditional foods and known for annually showcasing the world's best kitchens and dishes, has sparked debate with its lists of the best and worst Turkish flavors.

The newest edition of the İncili (Pearly) Gastronomy Guide 2020 was launched on Feb. 25 at a ceremony held at Shangri-La Bosphorus Hotel in Istanbul, unveiling the best restaurants of Turkey.

The guide, which has become prestigious in the gastronomy world within a very short time, has been prepared in a collaboration between daily Hürriyet and porcelain maker Karaca.

Turkey's first gastronomy guide will provide a review of more than 400 locations selected by a core team and secret inspectors of gourmet end experts, according to journalist Müge Akgün.
