19,000 teachers served students with autism in Turkey: Education minister
Turkey provided special education services for 41,854 students with autism in 1,521 special education schools with 19,357 teachers, Education Minister Mahmut Özer has said.

Winter break begins for nearly 18 million students
Nearly 18 million Turkish students begin their two-week winter break after completing their first semester and receiving their mid-term report cards on Jan. 21.
The mid-term holidays will end on Feb. 6.
Education Minister Mahmut Özer asked teachers not to give homework to children so that both the teachers and the students relax during the holidays.

Google's annual recap of 2021's top trending searches in Turkey has shown the most googled word this year was "EBA giriş" (EBA log in), to get access to the website of the state-run Education Information Network (EBA) channel which was set up for students who had to continue education online due to the pandemic.

Turkey on Nov. 24 celebrated the national Teachers' Day, which marks the day Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder of modern Turkey, was given the title of "Head Teacher" in 1928
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan issued a message to mark the day, which has been celebrated in Turkey every Nov. 24 since 1981.

No school to be left without library in 2 months, minister says
Turkey's education minister has said that there will be no school left across the country without a library within two months, stressing that the existing libraries at the schools will be renewed and updated.
At least 5 children killed in road accident
At least five children, aged between 11 and 14, have been killed when a school bus overturned after the driver lost control of the vehicle in the western province of Afyonkarahisar.
The accident, in which five other students were also injured, occurred in the early hours yesterday near a village in Afyonkarahisar's Iscehisar district.
