Volodin: Putin striving to strengthen Serbia-Russia ties
BELGRADE - Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic met with the Chairman of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin on Monday to discuss Serbia-Russia relations, cooperation, Kosovo and the threat of terrorism.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is striving to strengthen the relations between the two countries, Volodin noted.
Serbian president to Russian Duma chair: "Feel at home"
At the beginning of his meeting with Chairman of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic told him to "feel at home."
"Make yourself at home. I am absolutely convinced that we can deepen our cooperation," Vucic told Volodin, speaking in Russian, at the beginning of their meeting on Monday in Belgrade.
Gojkovic: Vucic to take oath on May 30 or 31, or June 1
BELGRADE - Serbian President-elect Aleksandar Vucic will take his oath of office on May 30 or May 31, or June 1, Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic announced on Friday.
Responding to reporters' questions in the parliament building, Gojkovic said the deadlines mandated by law would thus be met, and that the exact date would be announced as soon as it was established.
Gojkovic holds meetings in Doha
DOHA - Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic has held bilateral meetings with the Speaker of the Advisory Council of the State of Qatar Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi and FM Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani to discuss possibilities for enhancing relations between Serbia and Qatar and developing parliamentary cooperation, as well as other matters of mutual interest.
