Bulgaria has its first medal from the Olympic Games in Tokyo! It was won by our sport shooting athlete Antoaneta Kostadinova, who won silver in the 10 meter air pistol discipline.
For Antoaneta Kostadinova, this is the first medal in her third participation in the Olympic Games.

Bulgaria's Grozdeva Wins 15th ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup Gold Medal
Bulgaria's Maria Grozdeva earned her 15th International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Rifle and Pistol World Cup gold medal after triumphing in the women's 25 metre pistol final in Beijing today.
The two-time Olympic champion scored 36 hits out of 50 at the Beijing Shooting Range Hall to top the podium and secure a Tokyo 2020 quota place.

Two-time Olympic champion Maria Grozdeva won a bronze medal in the 25-meter pistol at the European Shooting Championship, held in Baku (Azerbaijan).
Monika Karsh (Germany) won the gold in the discipline, and the second place was for Claudia Bress from Poland. Our other representative in the finals Antoaneta Boneva finished fourth.
127 Bulgarian Athletes to Compete at First European Games in Baku
A total of 127 Bulgarian athletes (60 women and 67 men) will represent the country at the First European Games, which will be held in Baku between June 12 and 28.
Bulgarian representatives will compete in 23 out of the 30 sports, which are featured in the games, daily Dnevnik reports.
