Hadjimanolis promotes Cyprus ship registry in China
Cyprus' Shipping Deputy Minister, Marina Hadjimanolis, met last week in Guangzhou, China, with executives of shipping companies, shipping agencies, financial institutions as well as local officials, according to a press release by the Deputy Ministry.
Cyprus Shipping Deputy Min attends naming ceremony in China
Cyprus' Shipping Deputy Minister Marina Hadjimanolis traveled to Guangzhou, China, to attend the naming ceremony of the newly built cargo ship AAL Limassol.
The vessel is owned by AAL Shipping, a part of the Schoeller Holdings group of companies, chaired by Heinrich Schoeller.
Ferries to Cyprus start next month
The Cyprus-Greece maritime passenger connection will run for a third consecutive year, subsidized by Nicosia following the European Commission approval.
An announcement from Cyprus' Deputy Ministry for Shipping is expected on April 16, regarding the resumption of the service, scheduled to commence on May 29. Ticket sales will begin shortly after the announcement.

High demand for Larnaca line
Next week, on July 29, the Larnaca-Piraeus ferry line is set to launch, and demand has surged, with the Daleela ferry already fully booked.
Cyprus' Deputy Minister of Shipping Marina Hadjimanolis told radio station SPOR FM there has been a tremendous response since day one, with bookings surpassing 11,000 and showing significant improvement compared to last year.
