Marina Kolovou

The Galan Trio - Babis Karasavvidis on violin, Marina Kolovou on cello and Petros Bouras on piano - presents a recital that pays tribute to Clara Schumann on the occasion of the bicentennial of her birth, and Fanny Mendelssohn, considered among the greatest female Romantic composers in a male-dominated world.

As part of its Musical Journeys series, the Athens Municipal Orchestra teams up with cellist Marina Kolovou for a concert dedicated to great Italian classical composers including Rossini, Puccini and Verdi, among others. The concert at the Technopolis cultural complex in the downtown Gazi district starts at 8.30 p.m. and is free of charge.

New York-based Greek-born songwriter-composer Pericles Kanaris performs his new single, "Gia Mia Stigmi" (For Just One Moment), among other works, at Gazarte on Thursday, February 22.
