Ankara – President Borut Pahor will start a two-day state visit to Turkey on Tuesday at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Bilateral relations and the situation in Ukraine will top the agenda. The situation in the Western Balkans and the Middle East will also be discussed.

Constitutional Court annuls pay ceiling rise for doctors
Ljubljana – The Constitutional Court has annulled a provision in the latest Covid relief law that raises the pay ceiling in the single public sector wage system only for doctors and dentists. The trade unions which petitioned the court to examine the law welcomed its decision.

Ljubljana – Eleven parties contesting the upcoming general election participated in a debate about their arts and culture platforms held by a group of cultural NGOs in the Kino Šiška arts centre on Monday. Kenyans dominate 25th Ljubljana Marathon
Ljubljana – The 25th Ljubljana Marathon on Sunday was dominated by Kenyan runners, with Ernest Kibet Tarus winning the men’s race with a time of 2 hours 22 minutes and 39 seconds, and Kwamboka Momanyi Grace winning the women’s competition (2:38:10).

Energy Chamber and businesses urge action in response to price hikes
