Legendary boxer Jake LaMotta dies at 95
Jake LaMotta, the uncompromising fighter portrayed by Robert De Niro in “Raging Bull”, has died aged 95.
The former world middleweight boxing champion died in a nursing home due to complications from pneumonia, his wife told US news site TMZ.
Based on LaMotta’s 1970 memoir, Raging Bull depicts an emotional fighter struggling with life outside the ring.

Famous American actor, comedian and director Jerry Lewis died today from natural causes at his home in Las Vegas, surrounded by his family, said the family, quoted by Reuters.

Comedian Jerry Lewis dies at 91
Jerry Lewis, the brash slapstick comic who became a pop culture sensation in his partnership with Dean Martin and then transformed himself into an auteur filmmaker of such comedic classics as “The Nutty Professor” and “The Bellboy,” has died in Las Vegas. He was 91. Lewis died at his home in Las Vegas at about 9:15 a.m. Sunday morning, his agent confirmed.

Daniel Day Lewis retires from acting!
Oscar-winning actor Sir Daniel Day-Lewis, who starred in Gangs of New York and Last of the Mohicans, has retired.
A statement issued through the 60-year-old star’s agent said he “will no longer be working as an actor”.
It said it was a “private decision” and he was “immensely grateful to all of his collaborators and audiences”.

The 45th International Film Festival FEST closed at Belgrade's Sava Center late on Sunday, Tanjug is reporting.
The festival ended with an award ceremony and screenings of Martin Scorsese's Silence and Luka Bursac's Afterparty .
FEST Remains Serbia's Most Vital and Provocative Film Festival
Under the slogan "Look!", this year's festival boasts a programme of more than 90 new films, including blockbusters with Oscar-nods and some of the best films that domestic directors have to offer.
Starting on February 24, the festival will last until March 5 - a full ten days.
'La La Land' wins PGA best film ahead of Oscars
Dreamy musical "La La Land" took home best movie at the Producers Guild Awards on Saturday, putting it in the box seat for the much-anticipated Oscars next month.
The movie beat industry favorites and leading Academy Awards contenders including coming-of-age tale "Moonlight", stylish alien thriller "Arrival" and visceral family drama "Manchester by the Sea."

Kinomania, one of the landmark film festivals in Sofia, begins next week, offering both newly released movies and masterpieces of the past few decades.
Pedro Almodóvar's Julieta, Woody Allen's Cafe Society, and Mel Gibson's Hacksaw Ridge will be among the movies to be screened at eight venues around the Bulgarian capital.
