Slovenia advance in Davis Cup

Portorož – The Slovenian men’s tennis team has advanced to the Davis Cup World Group I qualifiers after defeating Estonia 4:0 in World Group II. After Slovenia won two singles matches on Friday, Aljaž Bedene and Blaž Kavčič also won the doubles competition on Sunday. Slovenia followed up with another singles win.

Matic pointed out that this was unequivocally proven by the trial, which ended yesterday in the first instance verdict of members of the State Security Service (SDB).

Mura relegated to Conference League

Graz – Slovenian football champions Mura have been relegated to the Conference League after a 2:0 loss against Sturm Graz in the final round of qualifying for the Europa League on Thursday. The result was 5:1 on aggregate.

Sturm yet again proved to be the better team and gave Mura hardly and chance throughout the entire game.

Serbia signs vaccine agreement with UAE, effective May 15th

The agreement will determine the technical conditions and methods of electronic validation of certificates that the vaccination has been performed.
The agreement was signed yesterday by the Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, Tatjana Mati, and the Minister for International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Reem Ebrahim Al Hashimy.

Judge halts procedure against student protester

Maribor – A Maribor judge has announced halting misdemeanour proceedings against a student for taking part in a peaceful protest in Maribor in February calling for schools reopening. The student’s defence counsel Dino Bauk expects the same decision to be taken in the case of two other students facing same charges.
