Djokovic, Sinner cannot clash in Monte Carlo before final
MONTE CARLO - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the world number one in men's tennis singles, was on Friday drawn to face the winner of the tie between Roman Safiulin and a qualifier in the Monte Carlo Masters second round and could play Carlos Alcaraz in the potential semi-finals and Jannik Sinner or Daniil Medvedev in the potential final.
Novak still awaits his match - and it's not starting yet
The biggest "culprits" for that are Matteo Berrettini and Andy Marrey who played the match in five sets and it ended in a super-tiebreak after the results 2:2 and 6:6.
Then Tamara Zidanek and Ons Jabeur suddenly "entered" the night program and fought a big battle in the first set, also decided in a long 13th game.

Belgrade has managed to attract some respectable names, so in addition to the world no.1, Novak Djokovic, Andrej Rublev, the eighth in the world, and Dominic Thiem, the winner of the US Open from 2020, will also perform.
Novak kept leading position
Although he did not have the opportunity to defend the trophy in Melbourne, which ended in the hands of Rafael Nadal, Djokovic remained at the top.
Daniil Medvedev, who with a potential triumph in the final had the opportunity to win points that would overtake Novak, suffered a defeat and therefore remained in second place.
