Missing student Vangelis Giakoumakis, found dead (photos + video)
The announcement concerning the cause of death of 20-year-old Vangelis Giakoumakis, the missing Ioannina Dairy School student from Crete, will be made on Monday. Coroner Theodoros Vougiouklakis said that findings are to be confirmed in lab tests at around noon.
Settlement of overdue debts bill to be postponed
Alternate Finance Minister Dimitris Mardas said that the bill on the settlement of overdue debts to the tax office will be delayed several days. The reason given to private MEGA TV was the government's interest in avoiding "flaws" so that the bill can be comprehensive.

Govt pushes forth on food stamps, free power to needy program
Alternate Social Solidarity Minister Theano Fotiou told private MEGA TV that a call for applications in order to receive humanitarian aid will be issued in April, in accordance with provisions of a draft bill to remedy what the leftist government calls a humanitarian crisis in the country.
ND committee meeting at midday on Sunday
The main opposition conservative New Democracy Political Committee is meeting at midday on Sunday to discuss a number of issues such as the party's poor performance at the January 25 elections, marking a victory for the Radical Left Coalition (SYRIZA). The party's ideology will also be discussed at the party's offices at Syngrou Avenue.

Govt aims to "thaw" out public sector recruitments
Administrative Reform Undersecretary George Koutrougalos told private MEGA TV that recruitments, mainly in the health and education sectors, that had been "frozen" will now continue as planned. He said that the measure placing employees on 'availability' will be scrapped as it is considered precursory to dismissal.

Germany threatens Greece with default outright for the first time
Germany has amped pressure on Greece with outright threats of default unless the country sticks to its painful austerity measures. German sources rejected Eurogroup Chief Jeroen Dijsselbloem's proposal for a 7.2-bln-euro tranche from the rescue package worth 172 bln euros, threatening Greece with insolvency unless it implements reforms.
Minister of State: We won't break previous contracts with investors
Minister of State Alekos Flampouraris underlined on Saturday that the new government does not intend to break the contracts that have already been signed by the previous government with regard to the privatizations in the country, except in "extreme cases."
