Foreign tourists visiting Turkey see sharpest drop in March since October 2006
The number of foreign arrivals to Turkey declined approximately 13 percent in March to 1.65 million compared to the same month of 2015, the sharpest drop since October 2006, amid rising security concerns and dramatic decrease in the number of Russian tourists.
Turkish industrial production rises above estimates
Turkish industrial production numbers have beaten expectations after an increase of 5.6 percent in January compared with the same month last year, data from the Turkish Statistics Institute (TÜ?K) showed on March 8.
Seasonally and calendar adjusted industrial production increased by 1 percent year-on-year in January, according to the data.

Inflation rate rises above estimates in November
Turkey's annual inflation rate increased above estimates to 8.1 percent in November from 7.58 percent in October due to a sharp hike in footwear and clothing prices, according to data revealed by the Turkish Statistics Agency (TÜ?K) on Dec. 3.
The highest monthly increase was 5.37 percent in clothing and footwear, according to the TÜ?K data.
