Togg plans to move to two shifts in September
Türkiye's indigenous electric carmaker Togg is preparing to start two shifts at its production plant in mid-September earlier than initially planned due to strong demand, Gürcan Karakaş, the company's CEO has said.

The number of Togg vehicles on Türkiye's roads has exceeded 2,000, Technology and Industry Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır has said.
Türkiye's first indigenous electric carmaker delivered more cars in the first half of August than it did in the whole of July, Kacır wrote on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

1st domestic communication satellite to be launched in 2024
Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır has announced that Türkiye's first domestic communication satellite, Türksat-6A, will be launched into space in March 2024, stating that his ministry has also made significant strides in high-speed 5G telecom networks and artificial intelligence.
Int'l defense fair IDEF kicks off in Istanbul
Türkiye's 16th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF) commenced on July 25, drawing significant attention from local and foreign officials.

Top 500 IT firms’ revenues hit 214 billion liras
Combined revenues of Türkiye's largest 500 IT companies climbed to 214 billion Turkish liras in 2021, growing 26 percent from the previous year, according to a recent survey.
Revenues from software exports rose by 74 percent last year to 1.6 billion liras, while the industry's service export revenues grew around 53 percent to hit 1.5 billion liras, showed the IT 500 Survey.
