The body of the last miner missing after a mine collapse in the Şirvan district of Turkey's southeastern province of Siirt on Nov. 17 was recovered early on Dec. 12, Doğan News Agency has reported.   

İbrahim Kılınç, 21, was the last of the miners of 16 to be recovered after the collapse at the Madenköy copper mine. 

The body of another miner was recovered on Dec. 10 after a mine collapse in the Şirvan district of Turkey's southeastern province of Siirt on Nov. 17, Doğan News Agency has reported.   

A further two people were arrested on Dec. 7 as a part of the ongoing investigation into a mine disaster in the southeastern province of Siirt, which left 12 miners dead and four missing last month, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

The four latest arrests include an occupational safety specialist.

Rescue teams are continuing efforts to locate 10 workers who were trapped underground by a massive landslide at a copper mine in the Şirvan district of the southeastern province of Şırnak after the bodies of six of the miners' colleagues were pulled from the site.

The chief executive of the copper mine in the Şirvan district of the southeastern province of Siirt, where 16 workers were trapped underground after a massive landslide, has been arrested on charges of criminal negligence. 

Six workers have been found dead since the disaster on Nov. 18, while 10 were reported to be still under the wreckage. Their condition remains unknown.
