Pop star Hatzigiannis cleared of tax dodging charges
An Athens has court acquitted Cypriot pop star Michalis Hatzigiannis of tax dodging charges.
The case concerned a money transfer of 5.3 million euros to Cyprus in 2010-11.
Before the court's ruling, a prosecutor had recommended that he be cleared of the charge.
Public prosecutor asks for pop star to stand trial
Public prosecutor Evsevia Kormikari has asked a council of prosecutors to reject an appeal by Greek-Cypriot pop singer Michalis Hatzigiannis not to stand trial over charges of failing to declare 5 million euros in his tax declarations during the 2010-2011 period.

Hatzigiannis also probed by Greece's SDOE over yacht
A day after pop singer Michalis Hatzigiannis and his accountant were detained by police for allegedly falsely claiming that the license plates of a Ferrari in the singers name had been stolen, new reports suggest that Hatzigiannis has been investigated by members of the Financial Crimes Squad (SDOE) in connection with a 380,000-euro yacht.
