New Tempe lawsuit against ex-ministers heads to Parliament
A new lawsuit filed against former transport minister Kostas Karamanlis and his deputy Michalis Papadopoulos over a deadly train collision at Tempe in 2023 has been forwarded to Parliament.
Parliament receives case file on Tempe train accident
The criminal indictment related to the Tempe train accident was forwarded to the Greek Parliament by the Justice Minister on Thursday.
According to Odysseas Konstantinopoulos, the House Speaker, the indictment concerns the arrangement of the railway accident site following allegations of obstruction.
Cycling plan for Greece presented

Resigned transport minister to appear before parliamentary panel on Tempe disaster
Former transport and infrastructure minister Konstantinos Karamanlis, who resigned in the aftermath of the deadly train collision in central Greece that left 57 people dead and scores injured, will appear before the parliament's Institutions and Transparency Committee next Monday to testify about the accident and the state of the Greek railways.

Athenians to get option of 3- and 6-month travelcards
A new set of travelcards, covering three- and six-month periods, are due to be made available to commuters in Athens.
Until now only weekly, monthly and annual travelcards had been on offer.
Deputy Transport Minister Michalis Papadopoulos signed a decision on Wednesday that will see the new cards, which will cost between 58 and 248 euros, come into use.
