Rowing-Serbian rowers win six medals at regatta in Croatia
ZAGREB - Serbian rowers won six medals at an international rowing regatta in Croatia on Saturday.
Milos Vasic and Nenad Bedjik in the coxless pair and Andrija Sljukic in the U23 single sculls events won gold medals, and Goran Jagar and Nikola Stojic in the coxless pair and Milos Stanojevic in the lightweight single skulls won silver medals.

The jury, which comprised prominent journalists and editors, unanimously awarded BIRN the prize for the most exciting and investigative work, which provoked the strongest reactions, launched a public debate and asked questions of the authorities.

Serbia Continues Purge of Police Officials
President Tomislav Nikolic on Friday called for changes in the police, saying they were needed to support the fight against crime in the country.
"I call on the government to appoint honest crime fighters and ensure that those responsible are doing the job they are entrusted with," Nikolic said.
